GANESH VISARJAN can we do it in a better way ?

Ganeshji is one of my favourite God . Because during his festival , there is no fast , no other restrictions , just worship and joy . you can eat anything and in addition you can eat delicious LADDU. We bring him home as our special guest and after 3 , 6 , 9 or 11 days a farewell party. People sing , dance and shout slogans , taking promise from Ganeshji that he would defiantly come next year and give us a chance to become his host.

One thing about this festival that I don’t like is the way we do VISARJAN. Because the next day after VISARJAN , we find pieces of Shree Ganesha’s statue floating everywhere in the river or shattered on the bank of the River. Pieces like hand , leg and other body parts of Shree Ganesha ‘s statue. And I feel very bad about it.
Can’t we make Shree Ganesha’s statue from a substance that dissolves easily , fast and completely in the water . Substance that pollutes water less . we can reduce the size of the statue ,this will also help . More over large statues are very difficult to handle . I have seen some large statues hanging upside down on the crane and it is very unpleasant at least for me.

Anybody has any other suggestion or an information about the substance
Which could dissolve fast , easily and completely.
